Abel García
Abel García, a painter born in Seville in 1996 and based in Madrid, is distinguished by his approach to painting as an intuitive exploration of the image. He uses successive layers of colour on canvas to create compositions that evolve with each intervention, capturing temporal depth and visual dynamics. Recently, he has explored the representation of bodily movements in industrial and skilled environments, seeking not only to reflect the aesthetics of manual labour and physical activity, but also to address issues such as work identity, power relations in the workplace and the environmental impact of industry. His work not only celebrates the pictorial tradition, but also questions the interaction between painting and the contemporary realities of work and society.
